Events in Göteborg

Gothenburg (Göteborg) is easy-going and compact. Most venues are a short tram ride from each other. Avenyn and the area around Götaplatsen hold the concert hall, the art museum and the city theatre. Linnéstaden and Majorna are full of small bars, cafés and live music, and the arena district around Ullevi and Scandinavium hosts the big concerts and matches.

Liseberg turns the city centre into a funfair in summer and a Christmas market in winter. The southern archipelago is a ferry ride away on an ordinary public transport ticket. On a rainy day, which is not rare here, try Universeum, the museums, or a long fika in Haga.
