Events in Stockholm

Stockholm is spread across fourteen islands, so where an event happens shapes the evening. Södermalm is the place for small music venues, comedy clubs and bars. Norrmalm and Östermalm have the big theatres, concert halls and restaurants. Djurgården is greener and slower, with museums, Gröna Lund and long walks by the water.

Summer brings outdoor concerts, open-air dancing and festivals, with light until late in the evening. From November to March, life moves indoors: club nights, jazz, theatre, Christmas markets and cosy fika. SL's metro, buses and commuter boats reach almost every venue, and the night buses keep running after the trains stop.
